Under standard temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure conditions, with the testing instrument applying a pressure of 1.21 kPa, the time required for 100 ml of air to pass through a 6.45 cm² diaphragm.

III. Testing procedure and operation method for lithium battery diaphragm breathability testing
1. Cut three diaphragm samples along the longitudinal direction at intervals of 150 mm from the membrane roll. If the diaphragm width is ≥100 mm, the sample size should be 100 mm x 100 mm; if the diaphragm width is <100 mm, the sample size should be 100 mm x diaphragm width.
2. Place the diaphragm into the testing head of a breathability tester with an appropriate range to conduct the breathability test. Take the average of three test results as the diaphragm's breathability.
Lithium batteries have very strict requirements for diaphragm breathability performance, as it directly affects the battery's electrochemical performance and safety. Therefore, testing the diaphragm's breathability is an important means to evaluate and judge the quality of a diaphragm.
